Melva Morrison, M.M.
Melva Morrison is an accomplished pianist and choral director. She graduated from Point Loma College with a double major in Piano Performance and Music Education. Melva holds a Master of Music degree in Choral Conducting from Cal-State Fullerton where she was student director of University Singers. She recently retired from a career of thirty-six years as a public school choral teacher, associate director and accompanist for the Inland Master Chorale and choir director at Ontario First Church of the Nazarene.

Professor Charles “Chaz” Celaya joined Point Loma Nazarene University in 2018 as Director of
the Commercial Music Program, where he teaches courses in music production and the music
industry. Since signing his first production agreement as a teenager, Chaz has traveled the globe,
taking on diverse roles in the music business. As a trusted educator, advisor, and strategist, he
passionately guides musicians and creative professionals at the intersection of art and commerce.
