Son Chae Kim, PhD, RN
Dr. Son Chae Kim is serving as the Associate Dean and Professor of the graduate programs at the School of Nursing, Point Loma Nazarene University. Previously, she served as a tenured Professor at Texas State University and taught both undergraduate and graduate nursing programs. Dr. Kim’s area of expertise and scholarship includes workplace violence prevention in various healthcare settings. She has developed and validated the Aggressive Behavior Risk Assessment Tool and the Violent Event Severity Tool.

Yazmin Pineda Zapata, Ed.D
Dr. Pineda Zapata is an associate professor in the School of Education. Her expertise in delivering special education services has allowed her to advocate for students with varying learning differences in grades K-12. Dr. Pineda Zapata is credentialed as an administrator and is recognized as a National Board Certified teacher. Her teaching credentials include the areas of multiple subjects and special education for students with mild to moderate and moderate to severe disabilities.
