Educational Resources for Pastors
The CPL offers continuing education courses, seminars, and forums throughout the year to equip church leaders.
Seminars by the Sea
Continuing education opportunities are offered to provide pastors and church leaders with affordable training and personal growth resources.
The CPL hosts a variety of conferences, including the Pastors and Leaders Conference (PALCON).
The CPL offers a variety of seminar and training events focused on helping pastors utilize their strengths, navigate congregation dynamics, and wrestle with different life phases.
Ministerial Candidate Workshop
Each fall, a three-day consultation and training workshop is offered to those on the path to ordination, as well as their spouses, on the PLNU campus.
Resources for Congregations and Districts
As PLNU replaces computers, overheads, and other tech equipment, the used equipment is made available to local churches. Apply for equipment.
As our gift, pastors from all denominations are invited to join us for a day of fellowship and enrichment.
Strategic Planning Consultations
The CPL staff is available to consult with districts and congregations. This includes Spanish language consultation, youth and young adult ministry consultation, and collection and analysis of regional statistical data.
Are you looking for a student to teach Sunday School, mentor youth, lead worship, plan events, run sound equipment, or play some other vital role in your church? If you are willing to involve students in positions of impact and leadership, contact our Office of Strengths & Vocations (OSV) for more information.
Personal Resources for Pastors and Their Families
Loma Ocean View Escapes (LOVE) for Pastors
Loma Ocean View Escapes, L.O.V.E. for short, is one of the many ways that Point Loma Nazarene University says “thank you” for faithfully serving our Lord in full-time ministry. We want to express our gratitude by making our Flex housing units available to Church of the Nazarene pastors during the summer months of June and July at no charge. Our goal is to give pastoral families the opportunity to enjoy a week of rest and renewal as they continue to bless others in ministry.
