Dr. Victor Labenske is professor of music at Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, California, where he teaches courses in piano and composition. A summa cum laude graduate of PLNU, he earned his master's degree in piano performance at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, Conservatory of Music, where he studied with Joanne Baker. He also earned the Doctor of Musical Arts in piano performance at the University of Southern California, where he studied with Stewart Gordon.

Dr. Dan Jackson is professor of music at Point Loma Nazarene University, where he conducts the University Concert Choir and is co-chair of the Department of Music. Choirs under his direction have performed for seven C.M.E.A. state conventions, three Western Division A.C.D.A. conventions, two national M.E.N.C. conventions, and three national A.C.D.A. conventions. Jackson has conducted honor choirs, presented workshops, and adjudicated throughout the U.S. and Canada. He has lectured at numerous A.C.D.A. and M.E.N.C.

Dr. Bill Clemmons has taught at PLNU for 20 years and teaches courses in music theory, music history, and music technology. In addition his teaching duties, he enjoys playing cello in chamber music with his students and colleagues and performing cello with San Diego area churches, including Rock Church and San Diego First Church of the Nazarene. Clemmons publishes on music theory and related topics, including two of the Artusi treatises at the Thesaurus musicarum italicarum and most recently in the Festschrift for Donald Hustad.

Debbie Burton has her B.A. in music education and MMED with Kodaly emphasis from Holy Names College in Oakland, CA. She has Orff Levels I, II, III, and Kodaly Levels I, II, III. She has been an elementary, middle, and high school music specialist for over 30 years, specializing in elementary education, concert and jazz band instruction, and choral and handbell performing groups.

Heather Ross was raised in Nashville, Tenn. She attended Trevecca Nazarene University, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy. She then went on to DePaul University in Chicago for her M.A. in Philosophy. At PLNU, she teaches the history of philosophy with a particular focus on ethics, feminist theory, and the philosophy of education.

Steve Rodeheaver is the pastor of Southeast Church of the Nazarene. He has been teaching in the School of Theology & Christian Ministry on a part-time basis for nearly 20 years.

Jon Manning is a New Testament scholar who is particularly interested in Paul, Luke, Acts, and the history of the canon. In addition to teaching in the School of Theology & Christian Ministry, he directs the LEAP program at PLNU, which provides a select group of incoming first-year students with academic support and shared learning experiences as a foundation for future academic success. When he is not teaching classes, Manning spends time outdoors with his family, and he endlessly enjoys reading science fiction and playing board games.

Dr. Mark H. Mann has a passion for helping PLNU express its Wesleyan heritage and core values in ways that are meaningful to faculty, staff, students, and the broadening community. An ordained elder in the Church of the Nazarene, Mann has previous experience in editing, student development, chaplaincy, and staff ministry at the local church level. Mark and his wife, Melissa, have four children: Naomi, Nathaniel, Madeleine, and Norah.

Dr. Kara Lyons-Pardue has taught New Testament and Greek courses at Point Loma Nazarene University since 2011. Dr. Lyons-Pardue earned her Ph.D. in Biblical Studies from Princeton Theological Seminary and an M.Div. from Nazarene Theological Seminary. Her research interests in the Gospels, particularly Mark, and women in Scripture combined in her 2020 book Gospel Women and the Long Ending of Mark (T&T Clark). She contributed the commentary on Philemon in the New Beacon Bible Commentary on Ephesians, Colossians, Philemon. Dr.

Dr. Michael Lodahl has been a professor at PLNU since 1999. Prior to that, he taught 11 years at his alma mater, Northwest Nazarene University, in Idaho. Born and raised in agricultural settings of Eastern Washington, Lodahl loves the outdoors — especially the beautiful Sunset Cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean very near the campus. He most especially loves to watch for pelicans, his favorite birds by far!
