Tyler Bowman, MBA

Professor Tyler Bowman has been an Adjunct Professor of Finance since 2023. Professor Bowman is a seasoned financial executive with deep expertise in corporate finance, relationship management, and leveraged lending. As Vice President and Relationship Manager IV at Comerica Bank, he has originated $115 million in new bilateral senior secured credit facilities and manages a $400+ million portfolio. He also leads initiatives to enhance Comerica’s Leveraged Lending Model and enterprise valuation analysis.

JC Hurtado-Prater, D.B.A.

JC Hurtado-Prater joined the Fermanian School of Business at Point Loma Nazarene University as an adjunct professor in 2020 and became a full-time associate professor of leadership in 2022. A U.S. Army veteran, Hurtado-Prater brings over two decades of experience in nonprofit leadership and management consulting. He has delivered training and consulting services to Fortune 500 companies and major government agencies, including Johnson & Johnson, Cisco, Visa, the U.S. Department of the Interior, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the U.S. Navy, Park Hyatt and more.

Christopher Paik, Ph.D.

Dr. Christopher Paik joined the Fermanian School of Business as a full-time assistant professor of economics in 2022. Dr. Paik was promoted to Associate Professor in 2025. He came to PLNU from the Economic Research Institute, Bank of Korea, where he worked as an economist as part of the International Economics Team. Dr. Paik earned his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Miami along with a MS in Financial Economics from Florida Atlantic University. While at the University of Miami, Dr. Paik served as an economics instructor and research assistant.

Mary Logue, MLIS

Mary Logue is the Resource Discovery Librarian at Ryan Library. She joined the faculty at Point Loma Nazarene University in late 2022 after working for the San Diego Public Library as a Branch Manager for three years. Prior to that, she worked for 19 years in the library at Westmont College. While at Westmont she specialized in cataloging, electronic resources and systems, and disaster preparedness/response. She spent her last few years at Westmont as Director of the Voskuyl Library.

Amy Nantkes, Ph.D.

Dr. Amy Nantkes joined PLNU in 2017 and serves as Director of the BA and MA in Public Administration programs and Assistant Professor of Political Science. She holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from Claremont Graduate University, an M.A. in Social Entrepreneurship and Change from Pepperdine University, and a B.A. in Cross-Cultural
Studies from North Central University.
