Lucia Foglia, Ph.D.

Dr. Foglia is a highly experienced educator and interdisciplinary scholar with a rich academic and professional background in philosophy, psychology, and business management. She holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Siena, where she also served as a Graduate Instructor from 2004 to 2008. Dr. Foglia earned an M.A. in Philosophy from McGill University, where she was a Graduate Instructor from 2010 to 2013, as well as an M.A. in Business Management from ISTAO Business School. She completed her undergraduate studies with a B.S.

Dan Jacobson, Ph.D.

Dan Jacobson joined the Fermanian School of Business as an Adjunct Professor of Management in 2018. Before starting this role, he served for seventeen years as a Management Consultant in the U.S. Air Force. Dan later transitioned to higher education, where he taught courses in business, human resources, and leadership. We are thrilled to have him on board, as he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his role.

Judy Holmes, Ed.D.

Dr. Holmes joined the Fermanian School of Business as an Adjunct Professor in 2018, after holding similar roles in higher education. She also has experience as Chief Operations Officer for an educational consulting corporation. 

Luca Dal Pubel

Professor Luca Dal Pubel began his career at the Fermanian School of Business in 2020 as an Adjunct Professor of Organizational Leadership for our Adult Undergraduate Program. In 2022, Professor Dal Pubel began to teach Negotiation and Conflict Resolution in our Graduate Program. He has simultaneously and previously held teaching positions at a number of local and European universities.

Thea Copeland, MBA

Assistant Professor Thea Copeland joined the Fermanian School of Business in 2022 as an Adjunct Professor of Marketing, teaching marketing and data analytics, blending academic knowledge and real-world expertise. Professor Copeland began her career as a sales engineer in industrial manufacturing before moving into B2B marketing, specializing in strategy, digital marketing, and analytics. She spent 10 years on executive leadership teams overseeing marketing, analytics, sales enablement, business development, supplier relations, and change management. Currently, she is pursuing her D.B.A.

Tyler Bowman, MBA

Professor Tyler Bowman has been an Adjunct Professor of Finance since 2023. Professor Bowman is a seasoned financial executive with deep expertise in corporate finance, relationship management, and leveraged lending. As Vice President and Relationship Manager IV at Comerica Bank, he has originated $115 million in new bilateral senior secured credit facilities and manages a $400+ million portfolio. He also leads initiatives to enhance Comerica’s Leveraged Lending Model and enterprise valuation analysis.

JC Hurtado-Prater, D.B.A.

JC Hurtado-Prater joined the Fermanian School of Business at Point Loma Nazarene University as an adjunct professor in 2020 and became a full-time associate professor of leadership in 2022. A U.S. Army veteran, Hurtado-Prater brings over two decades of experience in nonprofit leadership and management consulting. He has delivered training and consulting services to Fortune 500 companies and major government agencies, including Johnson & Johnson, Cisco, Visa, the U.S. Department of the Interior, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the U.S. Navy, Park Hyatt and more.
