Robert Costa, M.S. CMD

Robert Costa grew up in the Bay Area. Right out of High School, Robert joined the US Air Force where he served as a medic and worked in the Air Force Intensive Care Unit and Emergency Dept in the country of Korea. Robert returned to his roots in the Bay Area to finish his college at San Jose State and Foothill College in Radiation Therapy. His passion to heal cancer patients drove his desire to expand his career in cancer research and medical Physics. Robert later went on to get his M.S. in Medical Physics and Dosimetry from Stanford University.

Amy Zheng M.D., M.Phil, CHSE

Dr. Zheng is a passionate teacher with a dedication for teaching teamwork among healthcare professionals. After graduating from medical school at UCSD, she completed an emergency medicine residency at the U. of Arizona. After moving back to San Diego, she worked for the VA Medical Center and taught interprofessional education at the UCSD medical school. For eight years, she chaired one of the largest teamwork exercises in the country.

Aceneth Foster, M.S.

Professor Foster comes to us via a nearly two-decade career as a high school teacher. She has also taught Math California Subject Examination for Teacher (CSET) preparation courses for several cohorts of teacher candidates in the Teacher and Educator Preparation Program at San Diego State University. Professor Foster earned a MA in Mathematics Education from Western Governors University and a BS in Mathematics from the University of California, Los Angeles. 

Nathan Gibbs, M.F.A.

Nathan Gibbs specializes in audiovisual storytelling and media strategy for on-demand, live streaming and broadcast media. Prior to joining PLNU in 2022, he taught multimedia and broadcast news courses as a faculty member in the department of journalism and mass communication at Abilene Christian University in Abilene, Texas. He directed KACU, the city’s NPR station, introduced live ESPN+ streaming, created podcast studios, and ushered in curriculum revisions during his tenure. Prior to his time in Texas, Gibbs worked for nine years at KPBS in San Diego, California.
