Edmund Cheng, Ph.D.

Dr. Ho Fung (Edmund) Cheng is an organic chemist specializing in polymer and macromolecule synthesis. Born and raised in Hong Kong, Cheng graduated with an MChem at University of Oxford in 2016 and obtained his PhD in Chemistry at Northwestern University in 2022. During graduate school, he discovered his passion for mentoring students and his love for macromolecules. After a postdoc with Prof. Jeremiah Johnson at MIT, Cheng started as his independent career at Pepperdine University in 2024, before joining PLNU in 2025.

Saira Justin, Ph.D.

Dr. Saira Justin joined PLNU’s Department of Biology after serving for six years as an Assistant Professor at the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) in Pakistan. She earned her PhD in Natural Sciences (Biology) at Johann Wolfgang Goethe University, Frankfurt am Main, Germany, and, following her doctoral studies, returned to Pakistan to begin her academic career.

Kaitlyn Hollis, MBA

Kaitlyn Hollis serves as the Director of Operations and adjunct professor of business at the Fermanian School of Business at Point Loma Nazarene University, where she teaches Business Communication and Business Practicum. Her expertise in business operations, administration, and leadership allows her to prepare students with the skills, experience, and professional confidence necessary to succeed in today’s workplace.
