Dr. Ben Coleman is a licensed psychologist and the Director of Clinical Training in the Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling Program at Point Loma Nazarene University. He completed his Ph.D. at Fuller Theological Seminary Graduate School of Psychology in Pasadena, CA. Dr. Coleman has worked extensively with children and adults, both in treatment and assessment, across diverse hospital and outpatient settings.
Dr. Denise Nelson has been a member of PLNU's Ryan Library faculty since 2004 and a member of the department since 1999. In addition to her responsibilities leading the library, she provides support at the Research Help Desk and teaches information literacy and research strategies for various courses. She serves as the library's liaison to Psychology and Communication Studies.
Professor Lang has been a member of Point Loma Nazarene University’s Ryan Library faculty since 2016. Prior she worked as Outreach and Public Services Librarian at Westmont College and as faculty at Santa Barbara City College and Cuyamaca College. Professor Lang teaches information literacy and research practices and is the library’s liaison to: History and Political Science; Art and Graphic Design; Biology; and Sociology, Social Work, and Family Sciences. Her scholarly interests include diversity, equity and inclusion as represented in library collections.
Born in Vietnam; raised in San Diego, CA, Dr. Vu is no stranger to academics or medicine. After earning his B.S. in Animal Physiology and Neuroscience at USCD, he spent 2 years in the field as a first responder EMT with AMR. He earned a Medical Doctorate degree from University of Vermont College of Medicine and was named to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He completed his Emergency Medicine Residency at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN.
