You aspire to teach students with mild/moderate disabilities in a K-12 setting.
This credential prepares you to create, develop, and implement individualized adaptations and accommodations to facilitate access to learning of the core curriculum in a variety of environments. Coursework focuses on state and federal regulations; Individual Education Plans (IEP); specialized curricula; learning, behavior and transition strategies; as well as the use of current and assistive technologies. You will develop skills in working as a collaborator in educational settings.
You can earn your mild/moderate preliminary credential alone or as part of our Master of Arts in Teaching program.
